As the longest uninterrupted urban area in the United States, Long Meadow’s 1-mile-long grassy hills feature tons of space to unwind and listen to music, play a lawn game with friends, or watch a baseball game.

Prospect Park Lake

Long-time fishermen and first-time novices alike can enjoy a day out on the lake catching and releasing plenty of fish. The park’s policies do not allow for guests to take their catch home. Be sure to read additional park and lake policies before casting away!

LeFrak Center at Lakeside

Depending on the season, visitors of the LeFrak Center can partake in fun-filled ice or roller-skating. Activities and organized games are held within the community center for kids of all ages! In the summer, the center also acts as the perfect launch point for boating out on Prospect Lake. 

Long Meadow, Nethermead, & Peninsula Meadow

Off-leash allowed from 6am-9am and 9pm-1am

Prospect Park is happy to welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes! During peak hours, the park does not allow for off-leash dogs however, off-leash areas are available for those interested in letting their dogs roam free during designated times. Dogs may also mingle, roam the area, and go for a swim at the appropriately named, Dog Beach.
